How We Conducted the Study
To create the study, our team extracted relevant data on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up contenders using HypeAuditor, a leading platform for social media analytics.
With the help of HypeAuditor, we successfully measured different metrics that could determine the high earning potentials of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing professionals.
As part of our analysis, we have measured follow count, engagement rate, and estimated earnings per sponsored Instagram post for each professional dancer in order to create an accurate ranking.
Study Results: Highest-Earning Strictly Come Dancing Pros on Instagram
We break down the top 5 contestants in terms of followers, engagement rate, and potential partnership money per post.
Gorka Marquez ranks as the highest-earning Strictly pro on Instagram
Our research shows she has the potential to earn £2,698 per post thanks to his 956k followers. This is more than double the average Instagram earnings for Strictly Come professional dancers.
Gorka, the longest-serving Strictly pro on the series, escaped the recent controversy surrounding fellow professional dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice, who both face accusations of misconduct—and is clearly one of the most popular pros left.
Gorka has the second-highest follower count of all the Strictly pros, beaten only by Dianne Buswell, who has approximately 999k followers.
However, when taking his 3.29% engagement rate into account, he stands to earn more from ads than Dianne.
Amy Dowden comes in second in our ranking
We have found she has an earning potential of £2,166 per post with 662k followers.
Amy Dowden has the second-highest earning potential after Gorka, with £2,166 per post thanks to her 662k followers—74% more than the average Instagram earnings for all the Strictly pros.
Our team also discovered that she has a solid engagement rate of 4.70%, which proves that she can connect with her audience and earn a substantial sum from sponsored content.
Six-time season Strictly veteran Johannes Radebe comes in third place
We have found that he has an earning potential of £2,128 per post, 422k followers, and an impressive engagement rate of 6.07%.
His charisma and dance skills have clearly made him a fan favourite.
Dianne Buswell comes in fourth place in our list
Our team notes she has the potential to earn around £2,052 per post with her 999k followers and 1.3% engagement rate.
It is relevant to note that, despite having the highest follower count of all the Strictly pros, Dianne’s lower engagement rate reduces her potential earnings from sponsored posts.
In fifth place in our ranking is Italian dancer Vito Coppola
We can asses he has a potential earning of £1,976 per post with 315k followers.
Even though he has less than a third of the number of followers as Gorka Marquez, he still has relatively high earning potential thanks to his engagement rate of 10.04%.
This is nearly double the average engagement rate of all the Strictly pros, which averages at 5.76%.
Lowest Potential Earning Strictly Come Dancing Pros on Instagram
Nancy, Jowita and Luba hold the last spots in our list.
Nancy Xu has the lowest earning potential
Our team found she has the potential to earn only £262 per sponsored post, which is 79% below the average earning potential of her peers.
Her lower follower count of 70k isn’t solely to blame for this—it’s her suspiciously low engagement rate of just 0.01% that limits her earning ability on Instagram.
Jowita Przystal is the second-lowest potential earner on Instagram
She currently has an earning potential of only £600 per sponsored post—52% below the average for her fellow professional dancers.
With 134k followers and a slightly higher engagement rate of 1.54%, it’s likely that she also has a mix of active and inactive followers, resulting in a lower engagement rate.
Luba Mushtuk comes in third for the lowest earning potential
Our analysis shows she earns only £631 per sponsored post.
Despite having 108k followers and a decent engagement rate of 3.28%, she falls behind her fellow Strictly pros in Instagram earning potential.
KingCasinoBonus’ Team Key Takeaways on Study Results
We consider that, if Gorka, Amy, or Johannes decide they’d rather become full-time influencers instead of professional dancers, they could definitely make a successful living out of it. Their large followings and high engagement rates make them desirable brand ambassadors.
Still, we find it interesting to note that, when looking at engagement rate alone, Michelle Tsiakkas is the clear winner with a whopping 35.53% engagement rate, making her potential earning per post £631 despite having just 28k followers.
It turns out that the recent controversies surrounding the Strictly professional dancers haven’t dampened their earning potential either. Even with some negative press surrounding the show, they still have loyal fan bases who trust and engage with their content.
We consider that dancers with the lowest earning potential, such as Nancy Xu and Jowita Przystal, might take a little longer to build up their following and engagement rates, but they still have a chance to become successful influencers if they start putting out high-quality and engaging content.
